Gatsby Athens

The service and hospitality were top notch. Our room was spacious, comfortable and lots of high end finishes including g a heated toilet seat and fancy modern bidet. Fantastic rain shower you never wanted to come out of. We loved the restaurant and bar. Great food, service and bars. Fun party vibe and very pretty. This place is in the heart of everything. Walk out the door and all over downtown Athens near the acropolis. Shops, restaurants, museums. Can’t beat it!

Our stay at The Gatsby in Athens was nothing short of amazing. The staff are truly wonderful—so warm, attentive, and welcoming that they made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely excellent, and every meal felt special. This hotel also holds a very personal place in our hearts, as my husband and I once celebrated a wedding party here. Coming back, we were reminded of why we chose it in the first place: the atmosphere, the people, and the care they put into every detail. There is simply no better place to stay in Athens. We can’t wait to return!

V comfy rooms though one had a bad smell (hotel swapped room without fuss) and the other had a faulty door mechanism (also swapped rooms for us). Staff were very helpful. There was lovely soap etc in the bathrooms with turndown service - very clean and nice. V effective air con. Delicious breakfast. Endlessly helpful reception staff who let us keep a room late on our last day as my son was not well. Ideal location.

We only spent one night in Athens, but Gatsby Hotel made it truly unforgettable. The location is absolutely perfect—walking distance to all the major attractions, yet tucked away just enough to feel like a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The entrance is stunning, the rooms are impeccably clean and stylish, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. But what truly sets Gatsby apart is the people. A heartfelt thank you to Athena, the head of reservations, for her incredible responsiveness and care. She arranged everything for us, from dinner reservations at popular spots to making sure every detail of our stay was smooth. Communication was prompt, the staff was helpful and kind, and every interaction felt personal. It is on the pricier side, but the experience and service are well worth it. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and will definitely be back. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

The character and quality of the room were exquisite, and there was nothing to be jealous of a chic upscale New York or London hotel in its category .But what stands out vividly is the personnel. From the front desk(always polite and accommodating to whatever whim you may have ) to the bar with unexpected quality signature choices and advice and a service with a hearty, intimate but professional way. And last but not least, the Maestro lady, who is the manager behind everything, makes sure the orchestra is in tune and when something goes wrong (if it does). She is personally there to iron it out. Thank you, guys, for a wonderful experience.
